You won't have to wait much longer – the Szikes Mórahalom Visitor Centre at Nagyszéksós Lake is opening soon!
A new attraction is about to enrich Mórahalom's tourism offer: on 4 August 2026, the Szikes Mórahalom Visitor Centre will open its doors, serving as the starting point for exploring Nagyszéksós Lake, the Buffalo Reserve and the Stork Rescue Centre.
The visitor centre features interactive exhibitions, modern digital experiences and engaging educational content, introducing visitors to the unique world of alkaline habitats, the rich flora and fauna of the Homokhátság region, and the importance of nature conservation. It offers an enjoyable and educational experience for all ages, whether you are visiting with your family, as part of a school group or on your own.
From the visitor centre, Nagyszéksós Lake, the Buffalo Reserve, the observation towers and the nature trails are all easily accessible, allowing visitors to discover the region's most remarkable natural treasures in a single trip.
Tickets are already available in advance!Don't wait until opening day! Admission tickets can already be purchased online, so it's worth securing your place in advance, especially for the first weeks after the opening.
