10. Nature

In the spirit of sustainability, we have developed innovative solutions to present, preserve, and promote Mórahalom’s natural and cultural heritage.

Mapping and

Promoting Natural Assets

Within the town of Mórahalom, building on local values and in partnership with the SZÉP-KÖR Association, we created the ÉRTÉK-es Walking Trail, which can be explored on foot. Each of the six stations features uniform information boards with QR codes offering additional details and playful tasks.
The walk begins at the main entrance of the spa, and participants can reach each next station by solving the challenges.

The ÉRTÉK-es Walking Trail provides a unique experience not only for residents and visitors but also contributes in the long term to the preservation of Mórahalom’s natural and cultural heritage.

Guiding Visits to

Natural Sites

In support of sustainable tourism, we have developed hiking routes that avoid vulnerable areas and guide visitors using directional signposts. For example, our guided tours – such as the bunker tours – make visiting these sites not only safer but also educational.

We collect visitor opinions and observations using surveys and other tools, such as our tourism-resident questionnaire. This allows us to continuously monitor the condition of natural sites and the effectiveness of our sustainability measures.

Preventing the

Exploitation of Animals

We support only those tourism services that exclude the captivity, exploitation, or illegal trade of animals.

Supporting Regulated

Programs

Our ecotourism programs comply with international and local regulations. For example, during tours organized in the Buffalo Reserve, visitors can observe the buffalo in their natural habitat.

Visitor Information

We inform visitors about the proper ways to observe wildlife to ensure that their natural behavior is not disturbed. We also place special emphasis on environmental education for children and young people, involving schools and families in many of our programs.

These measures not only protect natural assets but also provide unforgettable experiences for our visitors.
