2.Social well-being
Alongside the safety of our employees, we are committed supporters of sustainable tourism and community development.
As a responsible employer, our company continuously ensures the safety of our staff. Each year, we conduct the legally required fire safety and occupational health and safety trainings, and in 2024 we also carried out a workplace risk assessment. Our labor relations are well-regulated; this is always checked during grant applications, and no issues have ever arisen within our company.
Our company actively supports local and regional infrastructure development and has participated in several community development programs that also contribute to reducing the negative impacts of climate change and assessing potential environmental effects. For example, we took part in the cross-border Serbian-Hungarian project “Na-tural Selfness”, where studies were conducted on the effects of thermal water and the natural environment on tourism. In addition, Móra-Tourist Nonprofit Ltd., together with Zsomboly, successfully applied for the “Green Transport” project, which enabled the acquisition of electric minibuses, the construction of charging stations, and the organization of awareness-raising events, including lectures on sustainable transport and environmental protection.
On the educational side, we operate as a dual vocational training site; in 2024, we are training 8 students in the tourism profession and also host students from the University of Szeged for professional internships.
Our company began its cooperation with the Municipality of Mórahalom in 2011, which was renewed in 2016, through which we undertake local tourism-related tasks. We carry out our activities in a way that does not endanger the basic services of the community.
The Mórahalom Card system is operated by the TDM organization and now includes hotel and spa ticket discounts. This supports local businesses and promotes paperless, digital solutions. At our accommodation provider and community forums and events, we invite local businesses to showcase their products and find new partners. For example, the ÉLŐ Tanya community was presented, supporting local farmers – primarily ecological producers – and delivering products directly from producers to consumers. Similarly, Kisvárosikert introduced itself, aiming to contribute to mitigating climate change through planting vegetation while also beautifying the environment.
